They had two children, George, born 1st June 1843, Hoyland, He died in 1855 and on 3rd September 1855 was buried at Holy Trinity Church, Elsecar. Also Jane, born 12th November 1837. In 1840 he married Elizabeth Danforth, in the District of Rotherham, who already had two children. Although he will probably not be the real father of them he most certainly will have raised them as his own so will list as his for now. There are ten children in all, Mary Ann DANFORTH, Isabella DANFORTH, Elizabeth, Samuel, Ellen, Sarah, Emma, Edwin, William & Lucy. The family resided at Stubbin, Hoyland in 1841, at Elsecar in 1851 and at Water Lane, Hoyland in 1861. He was a Blacksmith / Engine Fitter between these times. William died on 12th May 1873 at Stubbin, Hoyland and on 15th May 1873 was buried at Elsecar.

Ben married (1) Mary Kay on 23rd December 1867 at St John the Baptist Church, Penistone and had one child, Wright. In 1871 they resided with his Widowed Mother at Gravels, Penistone. After the death of his first wife he married (2) Jane Thorpe on 28th February 1881 at Netherfield Independent Church, Thurlstone. Between 1881 & 1891 they resided at Gravels Lane, Penistone.  Ben assisted his Mother with the Farm in 1871 but was a retired farmer between 1881 & 1781. He died on 1st April 1896 in the District of Wortley.

Benjamin married Sarah Armitage on 13th November 1854 at St Michael the Archangel, Emley and had four children, Harriet, Mary, Henry Cornelius, Isaac. Between 1861 and 1871 the family resided in a Private House at Hoyland Nether and  at 5, Pickles Square, Hoyland Nether in 1881. Ben was a Coal Miner between 1871 & 1881. He died on 19th June 1890 at Hoyland Common.

He was baptised at Midhope on 11th October 1835. Between 1841 and 1851 he was living with his Grand Parents. In 1851 he was actually working at home, probably on his Grandparents Farm. Benjamin was a Farmer when he married (1) Mary Anne Beever on 24th August 1857 at St John the Baptist Church, Penistone. The family resided at Carr House, Thurlstone in 1861 with his Step Daughter Ann, at 76, Gate House, Wombwell in 1871 and in 1881 at Cat Hill, Hoylandswaine. After Mary's death in 1887 he married (2) Eliza Ann Worsley in the District of Wortley in 1891. Benjamin was a Stone Quarry Labourer in 1861, a Platelayer in 1871 and a Railway Labourer in 1881. He died in 1921 in the District of Wortley.

In 1851 the family resided at Ushers, Wortley and between 1861 and 1871 at Panbry Lane, Worsbrough but he was a Widower between 1881 & 1891 living at 2, Green Street, Worsbrough. Charles was a Labourer at a Chemistry Works in 1851, an Agricultural Labourer in 1861, in 1871 was a Boiler Maker's Labourer, a General Labourer in 1881 and a Coal Leader in 1891. He died in 1902 in the Barnsley District.

He died on 31st March 1917 at Pensacola, Florida and on 3rd April 1918 was buried at Albion Prairie Cemetery, Albion, Dane, Wisconsin. In 1870 he was a Farm Labourer.
