Jacob was a Scholar in 1861. In 1881 he was a boarder at 38, William Street, Swinton, Rotherham. He married (1) Martha Ann Haigh on 19th March 1884 at St Mary Church, Barnsley. After his first wife died he married (2) Alice Sophia Cranidge on 27th October 1890 at Althorpe, Lincolnshire and had four children, Cranidge, Leonard, Gladys Sophia & Percival Dixon. In 1891 they resided at Park Villa, Park Road, Mexborough. Jacob then married his last wife (3) Hannah Greenwood. He was a Coal Pit Labourer in 1871 and a Railway Shunter between 1881 & 1891.

James married (1) Elizabeth Lawton on 26th December 1860 at St Michael the Archangel, Emley and had five children, Sarah Jane, Mary, Mary Jane, Elizabeth & Ann.  In 1861 the family resided at Warburton, Emley. Between 1869 and 1871 he resided at Stringer House Lane but in 1871 at Shings Lane, Emley. After his first wife died he married (2) Eliza Pollard in 1880 in the Ecclesall Bierlow District. The family still resided at Stringer Road Farm, Emley in 1881. Wife number (3) was Ann Bostock who he married in 1888 in the Huddersfield District. The family resided at Top of Hill, Lower Cumberworth in 1891. In 1861 he was an Agricultural Labourer but in 1865 he was a Knife Blade Forger and between 1869 &1891 was a Farmer. He died on 3rd June 1909 in the Wortley District.

She then married (2) William Henry Ibbotson in 1878 in the District of Sheffield and had another eight children, Ellen, Gertrude, Jane, Blanche, Machen, Ada, Emma & John. The family resided at 4, George Street, Worsbrough in 1891.

Job married Ann Stevenson in 1853 in the Sheffield District and had six children, Elizabeth Ann, Martha, Harriet, George Henry, Joseph Stevenson & Annice.  The family resided at Hill Top, Dronfield between 1861 and 1891. Job was a Carter in 1851, a Coal Miner between 1861 and 1881 and was a General Labourer in 1891. He died in 1915 in the District of Chesterfield.

John married Maria Methley on 24th February 1846 at St Peter Church, Tankersley and had seven children, George, Emily Ann, Charles, Eliza, Priscilla, Hannah Matilda & Albert. The family resided at Side Gate, Elsecar Lane, Tankersley in 1861 and at Scholes, Kimberworth, Rotherham in 1871. He resided with his daughter in 1881 at 170, Kirkstall Road, Headingley, Leeds but was back with his wife in 1891 at 1, Havelock Street, Barnsley. In 1861 he was a Road Repairer & Toll Collector, in 1871 was a Labourer, was a Railway Labourer in 1881 and in 1891 was a Horse Keeper. John died in Barnsley on 2nd August 1893.

In 1841 he was an Agricultural Labourer, in 1861 an Iron Mine Labourer, a Coal Miner in 1871 but between 1881 & 1891 was a Coal Carter. He died in Barnsley in 1896.

Joe married (1) Mary Sells on 23rd March 1857 at St Mary Church, Worsbrough and had three children, Hannah, Thomas & John. In 1861 the family resided at Job Wood, Worsbrough. In 1871 he was a widow and resided at 32, Albert Street, Barnsley. His future wife was boarding with him at the time. After Mary's death he married (2) Harriet Wood in 1885 in the District of Dewsbury and had another four children, Elizabeth, George Albert, Laura & John William. The family resided at 6, Scarbro Lane, Featherstone in 1881 and at 20, Long Row, Town End, Leeds in 1891. Joseph was a Labourer in 1851, a Coal Miner between 1861 & 1881 and a Labourer in 1891.

Joe married Ann Horsfall in 1864 in the District of Huddersfield and had ten children, Sarah, Asa, Mary, Ann, Agnes, Irving, Percy, Norman, Gertrude & Edgar. The family resided at Far Cliffe, Wooldale, Holmfirth in 1881 and in 1891 at Ingtholme Bridge, Thurstonland, Holmfirth. He died on 27th February 1905 in the District of Huddersfield. Joe was a Woollen Manufacturer between 1881 & 1891.

In 1841 he resided with the Robinson's at Denby although I don't know as yet what the link is and in 1861 was a Lodger at a Private House, Hoyland Common. Joseph married Ann Wilson on 24th May 1863 at St Oswald Church, Methley and had two children, Joseph & Squire. Between 1871 and 1891 the family resided at Watergate, Methley. He died on 5th May 1915 at the West Riding Asylum in Wakefield and was buried at Stanley Cemetery. Joe was a Coal Miner between 1861 & 1891.

Joseph married Martha Haigh in 1873 in the Wortley District and had four children, Rachel Ann, Lucy, Frederick & Ann. The family resided at 104, Top Bank, Thurlstone in 1881. In 1881 he was a Steel Works Labourer. He died in 1887 in the District of Wortley.

Joseph married Jane Green on 26th June 1867 at All Saints Church, Silkstone and had one child, Emma. In 1871 the family resided at the Lodge in Park, Wentworth Castle, in 1881 at Broomroyd Lodge, Stainbrough and at Hood Green, Stainborough in 1891. Joseph was a Game Keeper between 1867 & 1881 but had retired by 1891. He died on 8th April 1919 in the Barnsley District.

The family resided at Roughbirchworth, Oxspring, Penistone in 1861 and in 1871 was a Widow residing with her daughters at Bridge End, Penistone where she was a Dress Maker. After the death of Edward, in 1872 she  married (2) George Hepplestone on 23rd December 1872 at St John the Baptist Church, Penistone. The family resided at Penistone in 1881 and in 1891 she was once again Widowed and  resided at 12, Wood Street, Whitfield, Glossop.

Mary was widowed in 1884 so in 1891 took over the Farming services from her husband. She died in 1901 at Emley.

There is a Bastardy Order from 29th December 1840 at Bradfield Archives which states: Mother Harriet Silverwood: reputed father James Kirk: Birth of child 8th February 1839. She was baptised on 21st March 1839 at St John the Baptist Church, Penistone. In 1841 she was living with her Grand Parents.  Mary married Robert Henry Wood in 1860 in the District of Barnsley and had four children, Henry, John, Rebecca & Thomas Arthur. Between 1861 and 1871 the family resided at 1, Copster, Thurgoland. She died of Tubercular Consumption on 26th July 1865 at Thurgoland.

Between 1861 and 1881 the family resided in a Private House at Hoyland Nether, at the Moor, Flockton in 1881 and in 1891 at the Darton Arms, Flockton Moor. Matthew was a Coal Miner between 1861 & 1871, was Farming 48 Acres of Land in 1881 and was an Innkeeper in 1891. He died in the Wakefield District in 1896 and on 1st July 1896 was buried at St James the Great Church, Flockton.
