After his first wife died he married (2) Alice Sophia Cranidge on 27th October 1890 at Althorpe, Lincolnshire and had four children, Cranidge, Leonard, Gladys Sophia & Percival Dixon. In 1891 they resided at Park Villa, Park Road, Mexborough. Jacob then married his last wife (3) Hannah Greenwood. He was a Coal Pit Labourer in 1871 and a Railway Shunter between 1881 & 1891. |

After his first wife died he married (2) Eliza Pollard in 1880 in the Ecclesall Bierlow District. The family still resided at Stringer Road Farm, Emley in 1881. Wife number (3) was Ann Bostock who he married in 1888 in the Huddersfield District. The family resided at Top of Hill, Lower Cumberworth in 1891. In 1861 he was an Agricultural Labourer but in 1865 he was a Knife Blade Forger and between 1869 &1891 was a Farmer. He died on 3rd June 1909 in the Wortley District. |
