In 1871 she was a Widow residing at Greenhead Lane, Dalton but by 1881 had become an Annuitant and was living at Town Street, Emley. She died in 1883 at Emley and on 4th March 1883 was buried at St Michael the Archangel Church, Emley.

Thomas had a drastic change of jobs because in 1861 he was a Brother of Archbishop Holgate Hospital living at Archbishop Holgate Hospital, Hemsworth with his wife. He died in 1863 in Hemsworth.

In 1851 he was now working the 40 acre farm with his mother, as an Agricultural Labourer but after she died took over the running of the farm and became a Farmer of 40 Acres until he died in 1889. He died on 12th June 1889 at Shelley and on 15th June 1889 was buried at Shelley.

She married Giles Eastwood in 1838 in the District of Huddersfield and had six children, Maria, Henry, Frederick, Alfred, Edwin & Ellen Ann. The family resided at Woodhouse, Shelley in 1841, at 919, Cross Lane, Cumberworth in 1851, in 1861 at Greenwood Street, Primrose Hill, Almondbury, at Colne Road, Huddersfield in 1871 and was a Widow back at Greenwood Street, Almondbury in 1881.

On 27th December 1815 at All Saints Church, Darfield she married Joseph Hammerton and had eleven children, Jane, John, Stephen, William, Joseph, Elizabeth, Hannah, George, Mary, Thomas & Sarah. The family resided at Goose Hole, Worsbrough in 1841. Jane died on 21st July 1843 at Goose Hole, Worsbrough and was buried at St Mary Church, Worsbrough on 24th July 1843.
