He was a Coal Miner between 1871 and 1881. Sometime between this period he must have joined the Army as he was listed as a Late Soldier in 1881. At this time he was living with his sister, Mary and her family at 82, High Street, Dodworth, Barnsley. He died in 1889 in the district of Hemsworth.

He was baptised on 6th June 1850 at All Saints Church, Dodworth. George was a Coal Miner by trade but according to the 1881 Census he was listed as a Soldier and Coal Miner and was incarcerated in Millbank Prison, Millbank, London.

George was baptised on 10th December 1857 at All Saints Church, Dodworth, Barnsley but died shortly after.

Henry was baptised on 1st December 1859 at All Saints Church, Dodworth, Barnsley. He was a Coal Miner by trade. On 25th December 1890 he married Ada Littlewood at St Peter Church, Hoyland. They had six children, Mary Matilda, Joseph, George, Henry, Eveline & Esther. In 1909 the family resided at 53, Elm Street, Hoyland Common. Henry died on 3rd August 1932 in Hoyland and was buried at St Peter Church, Hoyland on 6th August 1932. From 1923 until his death in 1932 the family lived at 66, Elm Street, Hoyland Common.

He married Sarah Jane Siddall on 1st November 1883 at St Peter Church, Hoyland and had twelve children, Elizabeth, Herman, Marian, Annie, Matilda May, Maria, Albert, Violet, Mabel, William, Clifford & Theresa Eleanor. In 1891 the family were living at 28, Prospect Place, Hoyland and between 1901 and 1907 at 24, Brook Street, Hoyland.

She married Nathan Fearnsides Liley in 1878 in the district of Dewsbury and had three children, John, Joseph & Sarah. In 1881 he was a farmer of 4 acres. The family resided at Old Chapel, Liversedge by 1881 but between 1891 and 1901 were residing at Harepark Lane, Liversedge.

The family were residing at 82, High Street, Dodworth in 1881, at Higham Common, Barugh, Barnsley in 1891 and at 19, Hermit Terrace, Barugh in 1901.
