He was a Coal Miner between 1881 and 1891.

He was a Steel Rolling Mill Furnace Man between 1861 and 1881.

Not sure who her real father was as her mother was a minor so will assume at this stage that William was the father, although in 1851 she was listed as a House Servant under the name of Isabella Mallison at Main Street, Cleckheaton. She married William Haigh in 1855 in the District of Rotherham and had four children, Catherine, John William, George & Elizabeth. In 1861 she and her children were living with her parents at Water Lane, Hoyland Nether as her husband was in Prison at the time. The family were reunited once again  and resided at 7, Minor Street, Headingley, Leeds in 1871
