Joseph never married. He was a Butcher in 1911, Piggeries manager for his father. On 30th August 1916 he enlisted in the Foot Guards (Grenadier Guards) and was demobbed on 31st March 1920. Joseph died in Leeds on 17th December 1924 afer he was tripped with wire and mugged one evening. Left overnight his leg became gangrenous so had to be amputated and he died soon after. |
