In 1841 they resided at Upper Norcroft, Cawthorne, at Barugh, Darton, Barnsley in 1851, at Mapplewell, Darton, Barnsley in 1861 and between 1871 & 1881 at Spark Lane, Mapplewell, Darton, but she was listed as Charlotte from Ashton under Lyne in 1881, clearly a remuneration error. In 1861 she was a Cotton Slop Worker. Caroline died in 1884 in Barnsley and was buried at All Saints Church, Darton on 7th December 1884. |

Charles married Jane Shore in 1860 in Barnsley, Yorkshire and had eight children, George, John, Leonora Alberta, Charles, Lillian, Sarah Elizabeth, Minnie & Ethel Fellowes. In 1861 the family lived at Worsbrough Common, Barnsley but by 1871 lived at Burtons Bridge, Monk Bretton, Barnsley. In 1875 the family resided at New Colliery, Monk Bretton before moving to 18, High Street, Monk Bretton by 1881 and in 1882 the family had moved again to Thurlstone where they stayed. He was a Colliery Labourer in 1861 and an Engine Tenter Driver and Engineer from 1871 to 1901. Charles died in 1908 in Barnsley and was buried at St John the Baptist Church, Penistone, Yorkshire on 13th October 1910. |

Nb: At the time of the 1851 census Barnsley contained the greatest concentration of domestic linen weaving in Yorkshire, with over 4,000 handlooms located in the town in nearly 800 loomshops. Although these loomshops were distributed throughout the town, the greatest concentration lay between the bottom end of New Street in the north, Wood Street in the south, Silver Street in the west and Duke Street in the east, that is, the area known as the "Barebones", with extensions eastwards along Copper Street and Union Street to Sheffield Road and beyond to Taylor Row, King Street and Rodney Row. |

He was an Agricultural Labourer between 1841 & 1851 and was also a Pig Dealer in 1851, in 1861 he was a Cattle Dealer but by 1871 had become an Inn Keeper and Farmer of 68 Acres before going back to Cattle and Pig Dealing between 1881 & 1891. William died in 1900 in Barnsley. |
